Service Times

Worship 10:15 am Sunday
Adult Sunday School 9:00 am
Children's Sunday School 9:00 am

Our Sunday Worship Service starts at 10:15 a.m. It is traditional in worship style and begins with a welcome.  Early in the service, we have Moment for the Young. This is a special time where children come up to the altar area and hear a message designed to help the kids relate to what their parents are about to hear in the sermon.  After that, the children under the age of 5 are invited to our well-equipped and friendly staffed nursery or may stay with their parents during the remainder of the service.

As the service progresses, we sing hymns together to praise the Lord and pray together for those that need our prayers. A scripture reading is followed by the sermon which directly relates to the scripture reading.  After the sermon, announcements are shared, followed by an invitation to come forward if you wish to publicly receive Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord or to rededicate your life to the way and will of God.

Adult Sunday School  - Bruce Oberhoff

We meet every Sunday at 9:00 AM.

Adult Sunday School is a study of God’s word given to us through the Bible.

We study the Gospel truths revealed to us in his word.

Our studies have recently included:

Satan slowly changing our society

Lessons in faith extend well beyond high-school and college years.  At Immanuel, we believe Sunday School classes are the best way to get involved in the LIFE of our church.

To grow as disciples of Jesus Christ, we need interaction with other Christians.  Proverbs 27:17 refers to this principle when it says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.”

Sunday School classes are offered September through May from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.  They are broken down below:

Nursery through Pre-Kindergarten (Ages 2 – 4)

Kindergarten – 1st Grade (Ages 5 – 6)

2nd – 4th grade (Ages 7 – 9)

5th – 7th (Ages 10 – 12)

8th Grade or Confirmation (Age 13)

9th – 12th Grade (Ages 14 – 18)

Immanuel uses curriculum from Reformation Press by David C Cook to teach school-aged children.  Each lesson is easy to follow and gives simple directions to create an environment that fosters fun and fellowship. By building a firm foundation in Jesus Christ, we prepare our children to deal with life’s problems using a Christian approach. As adults we need that reassurance that God continues to guide us through the trials and trepidations of life.

Sunday School improves your Bible knowledge and when you know/understand God’s Word for yourself, you are more likely to obey the Lord.  Spiritual growth often occurs best in the context of small group Bible study.  Everyone desires a “place to belong”.  In Sunday School class, you are known personally and can share needs and concerns from your life.  As you participate in class discussions, you become part of a group of people that share their stories and connect in a way that may not happen by only attending Sunday worship services.  You share fellowship times with class members. You minister alongside others.
