Christian Education Committee
The Christian Education Committee along with the Youth Director plan and implement activities for the youth of IEC. This includes providing teachers and curriculum for the Youth Group (ages Kindergarten – High School), Confirmation Class, and Sunday School for the youth and adults. Some of the fun activities held throughout the year include:
- Rally Day kicks off the new Sunday School season in September
- Children’s Christmas Program in December
- Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday
- Music Camp in June
- Vacation Bible School in July
- Family Swim Party in August
Welcome to Leaps and Bounds Mother’s Day Out Program! It is a joy for us to share in the life of your child for a few hours each week. We invest in the social, emotional and academic development of each child in our program. But more importantly, we are sharing the love of Christ with the children in all that we say and do each day. Our students are enrolled as early as 2 years old through Pre-K 4/5 year olds. And they attend our program on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30-2:30. Youth Group
The Youth Group is split into two groups and meets weekly during the school year. Each session includes a Bible lesson, a snack or meal, and recreation. The Confirmation Class joins the Youth Group for fellowship then separates to receive their instruction. Activities for the Youth Group usually includes:
- Preparing for Annual Pancake Supper on Ash Wednesday
- Gathering of the palms for Palm Sunday.
- Assembling eggs for the annual Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday
- Attending the confirmation retreat, musical and recreational events
- Volunteering for mission projects
- Participating in youth lock-ins at IEC
